149 children have been moved into the classroom premises even though the windows and doors are not in place as yet.  42 children have moved to a neighboring primary (elementary) school following the national education curriculum.

Community is resolving internal issues regarding registration of the school.  They have been given the space and time to do this before further construction is undertaken.  This will not affect the ongoing schooling of the children and training of the teachers.

Montessori

Making of lockable shelving for one classroom has begun.  This is being done by carpenters from the camp.

Montessori

A proposal has been approved for funding of materials and brick making machines to build 40 family dwellings.  The community will manage the building process and decide on the families that will receive this help starting with the teachers.

Further to the general registration requirements of the medical facility, an incinerator and latrines have also now been put in place.  Another kind donor raised funds for this.  The government has undertaken a second inspection.  A situational analysis is still being awaited.

Montessori

Montessori Association of Kenya has been established bringing together the three training centers at Nakuru, Mombasa and Nairobi.  They will work jointly in reinstating the 3-6 Montessori education system in Kenya.
